MMO Gamepad – Advanced Configuration – Xpadder

This is my most efficient MMO Gamepad configuration.

Using

SCPserver : http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller

Button on guide 2 ver. 6: http://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/1goval/any_way_to_map_the_middle_xbox_360_button/camujj7

Xpadder : http://www.xpadder.com/

mapped button_on_guide2 to letter R.
(edit the button2.ini as follows:
[player1]
; Decimal VKEY code, see the bottom of this file for a list
; Default is 27 (escape).
; If you set it to zero, set longpress_key correctly, and set hold_mode=2,
; tapping the guide button for less than longpress_duration will do nothing.
key = 82
)

Installed scpdriver with a compatible bluetooth dongle. Follow directions from developer.

Configured a default layout for the ds3 buttons.

Mapped the gamepad keyboard binds as shown in pictures. With R1 button as alt with toggle to set #2 while held.

Granted this does mean all the buttons on set #2 will need to be bound to alt+button. Yet this toggle for the left mouse button primarily is a great timesaver.
This also allows enough binds to configure heals and an almost full set of actionbuttons.

I play holding the R2 (right mouse button) for steering movement.

These are the images for xpadder:
xpad1

xpad2

The gamebinds are as follows for the buttons:

Left Stick – Arrow keys – L&R strafe – U&D forward/backward

Right Stick – Mouse emulation

L3(spacebar) – jump
R3(Tab) – cycle nearest target

R1(Alt) & L3(spacebar) – target self
R1(Alt) & L1(Shift) & L3(spacebar) –  target pet

L1(shift) & R3(tab) – cycle hostile target

L2(ctrl) & R3(tab) – cycle friendly target

PSbutton(R), D-Pad (set 1)(awde), XOTriSqu (set 1 & 2)(sqcxfgvz) Action bar assignments – disabled actionbar paging.
[Also using Modifiers from R1,L1,L2]
R1(Alt) + D-Pad (set 2) – Target Party members 1-4
L1(shift) + R1(Alt) + D-pad (set 2) – Target Party Pets 1-4

select (7) – Character
L1(shift) + select(7) – Abilities/spellbook/professions/pet abilites
L2(ctrl) + select(7) – Talents
start (0) – Inventory (open all bags)
L1(shift) + start(0) – Achievements
L2(ctrl) + start(0) – Garrrison
R1(Alt) + select(1) – Quest Log
R1(Alt) + L1(shift) + select(1) – minimize/maximize Quest watcher (if using addon able to bind this)
R1(Alt) + L2(ctrl) + select(1) – any other addon toggle involving quests
R1(Alt) + Start(3) – World Map
R1(Alt) + L1(shift) + start(3) – any other addon toggle involving map/minimap
etc for wanted interface menus
I also bind one to hiding the UI elements & screenshot.

World of Warcraft – 1.12.1 – Vanilla – Addon Pack

I sorted through all the available addons & chose this for my UI.

http://anaheimofmanheim.com/Storage/WOW1.12.1.AddOns.zip

Note Cartographer is not compatible with Mobinfo2. Due to 2 of the questhelper like addons using cartographer this pack uses a modified version of rapid quest pack.

I modified all the .toc files so they don’t show out of date. I enable everything but the lootlinkdbadder.

This is the list of addons & if you need descriptions let me know & give me some time. I have accessed all their options/settings and do have the ability to give mild directions.

Unable to install Windows 8.1 apps – error 0x80073cf9

Download Compiled Batch: http://anaheimofmanheim.com/Storage/winstore8.1fix.exe

I have taken time to make a compiled administrator batch script that will:

Delete the c:\windows\AInstallAgent folder
Then
Create the c:\windows\AppReadiness folder

This fix is all I needed for this & I have had to use it several times since the installation of Windows 8.1.

Here is a link to the other fixes if that doesn’t work:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-windows_store/unable-to-install-windows-81-apps-error-0x80073cf9/c3454b32-2b8b-450a-9c42-c961c8f35031

Mod List

This is a rough.

I will add more instructions & mods/free games as time passes.

Current Mod, Free Game, Hacked Roms, Private Server list:

Games: Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Orange Box (Half-Life 2, Portal 2),
Morrowind, Diablo, Diablo 2, Starcraft, Starcraft 2, Warcraft 3, Titan Quest: Immortal Throne
Star wars: Empire at War, Amnesia: Dark Descent, Doom 3, Unreal Tournament 2004,
X-wing Alliance, Descent 1&2, Doom 1&2, Heretic, Hexen, Wolfenstein 3d,

Free games:
Legion Saga Series
Desktop Dungeons
http://www.thedarkmod.com/
Current Private Servers:
World of Warcraft, Star Wars Galaxies, Matrix Online (not complete)

Games limited to 2 GB of ram, will work if you limit your system to 2048 MB of ram on boot.

However I have found: http://www.moddb.com/games/act-of-war-direct-action/downloads/proper-windows-7-fix-for-act-of-war
Which allows many of those games (not just Act of War) to work without limiting your ram on startup.

To Install Diablo 2, Diablo 2 D2se, and Diablo 2 Back to Hellfire.

Install the game from the disc pre 1.10 version.
Update to 1.10 using http://www.gamershell.com/download_3947.shtml
Install back to hellfire http://bth.hugelaser.com/ to the 1.10 installation folder & verify it runs.
Then copy the folder in another location.
Uninstall the game from program & features (add/remove programs)
Install the game upto the newest version in a different directory than the copy.
Run the game as administrator & allow battle.net to auto update the game.
Install d2se after verifying battle.net works. from : http://snej.d2maniacs.org/forum/index.php?topic=18504.0
add glide- wrapper to the diablo 2 directory http://www.svenswrapper.de/english/
Add the mod-plugins from http://snej.d2maniacs.org/forum/index.php?topic=18504.0
Test the mods & message me for any errors.

Diablo 2 may require the glide-wrapper & definitely requires run as administrator to run on windows vista & up.

•Diablo 2 : D2SE & plugins
http://snej.d2maniacs.org/forum/index.php?topic=18504.0

Not all the Plugins work.

After testing I chose these Plugins as worth Playing:

    Tips and Information

[Automatically do not include products that have many poor reviews]
[some baseline requirements : Video better or same as 450gts]
[Allows for most 1 year old games to run at full settings easily
And Will run new games with slightly lower settings]

•Added Prices on Detailed breakdowns
•Personal findings. Readyboost usb drives dramatically speed up boot time & PC responsiveness, even with Huge RAM blocks.
Finding a decent USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 Flash drive requires research of reviews. As the USB 3.0 drives rarely perform as fast or faster than USB 2.0 drives.
•Windows 8 benchmarks from professionals show slight decrease of fps across many games, however I found a 15 fps increase on my machine in many games.

    Video Tip

*Intel does not make any Dual-core CPU’s that support PCI express 3.0.*
Recommendation: Use a PCI express 3.0 video card in a 2.0 or 3.0 slot,
and deal with the performance loss due to the CPU limitation.

The PCI express 3.0 video cards run for the same price or less than the PCI express 2.0
cards that do less even with the limitation.33

“PCI x16 3.0 card maybe used in a pci x16 2.0 slot or with non-pci3.0 compliant cpu with reduced capabilites.”

(Personal Recommendation to surpass the dual core and PCI 3.0 limitiation – get Unlocked and O.C. the Videocard)

$125.99 GTX 650 Superclocked – 1GB GDDR5 – PCIx16 3.0 – 1813 G3d – Link

For AMD Motherboards (PCIx16 2.0 cards)
[This video card maybe used in a pci x16 3.0 slot with no increased capabilites]
[Recommendation: Use a pci x16 3.0 card in a pci x16 slot]

$89.99 GTS 450 – 1GB GDDR5 – PCIx16 2.0 – 1520 G3d Link
$134.32 GTX 550 Ti – 1GB GDDR5 – PCIx16 2.0 – 1912 G3d Link

-109.90 is used in Total prices per recommendation to use PCIx16 3.0 card instead of a 2.0.
Goto Top (link)

    *Choosing between AMD and Intel

Typically AMD cpus require more full load power than Intel.
Computers that will be running @100% cpu load, choosing Intel may save on power cost.

The AMD motherboards that support PCI 3.0 video cards are currently pricey.
PCI 3.0 video cards also use less power than a PCI 2.0, while doing more.

When purchasing a integrated video gpu on a CPU the AMD versions perform much more
at the expess of electrical power. It is possible to play some games like Skyrim with low fps on
integrated AMD gpus while intel integrated gpus won’t allow playable fps.

If browsing the web with high speed scrolling, online video content, flash, and multiple tabs is required
a Non-gaming pc with an AMD integrated GPU will likely perform better than its intel counterpart.

Cross Referencing CPUs onhttp://www.cpubenchmark.net/ is also a good idea.

For AMD Motherboards (PCIx16 2.0 cards)
[This video card maybe used in a pci x16 3.0 slot with no increased capabilites]
[Recommendation: Use a pci x16 3.0 card in a pci x16 slot]

$119.99 GTX 550 Ti – 1GB GDDR5 – PCIx16 2.0 – 1912 G3d Link Or Link
