19th Weekly ‘Anaheim – Cheap’ DIY Desktop Combos.

(shopping sources: Tigerdirect.com, Newegg.com)
***I also recommend cross-shopping ebay, amazon & the sales of these sites.***

•Note: Intel’s 4th generation CPUs were released recently. Yet the cost of the motherboards start at 70.
Until those boards drop in price you will not see them in these combos.

    Video Tip

*Intel does not make any Dual-core CPU’s that support PCI express 3.0.*
Recommendation: Use a PCI express 3.0 video card in a 2.0 or 3.0 slot,
and deal with the performance loss due to the CPU limitation.

The PCI express 3.0 video cards run for the same price or less than the PCI express 2.0
cards that do less even with the limitation.33

“PCI x16 3.0 card maybe used in a pci x16 2.0 slot or with non-pci3.0 compliant cpu with reduced capabilites.”

(Personal Recommendation to surpass the dual core & PCI 3.0 limitiation – Unlocked & O.C. the Videocard)
•129.99 -GTX 650 Superclocked – 1GB GDDR5 – PCIx16 3.0 – 1813 G3d – http://bit.ly/14vcBwe

For AMD Motherboards (PCIx16 2.0 cards)
[This video card maybe used in a pci x16 3.0 slot with no increased capabilites]
[Recommendation: Use a pci x16 3.0 card in a pci x16 slot]
•89.99 – GTX 550 Ti – 1GB GDDR5 – PCIx16 2.0 – 1912 G3d – http://bit.ly/10qsyp2

•119.99 – GTX 550 Ti – 1GB GDDR5 – PCIx16 2.0 – 1912 G3d – http://bit.ly/171wgX5
-109.99 is used in Total prices per recommendation to use PCIx16 3.0 card instead of a 2.0.

    *Choosing between AMD & Intel*

Typically AMD cpus require more full load power than Intel.
Computers that will be running @100% cpu load, choosing Intel may save on power cost.

The AMD motherboards that support PCI 3.0 video cards are currently pricey.
PCI 3.0 video cards also use less power than a PCI 2.0, while doing more.

When purchasing a integrated video gpu on a CPU the AMD versions perform much more
at the expess of electrical power. It is possible to play some games like Skyrim with low fps on
integrated AMD gpus while intel integrated gpus won’t allow playable fps.

If browsing the web with high speed scrolling, online video content, flash, and multiple tabs is required
a Non-gaming pc with an AMD integrated GPU will likely perform better than its intel counterpart.

Cross Referencing CPUs on http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ is also a good idea.
